Terms of service
Lunatix is a marketplace where fans buy and sell concert tickets from each other. These are the rules for using it. They're written to match exactly how the site works. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them. Questions: support@lunatix.io.
What Lunatix is, and isn't
- Lunatix runs the marketplace. We are not the seller of the tickets listed here, we don't organize events, and we don't set prices. Buyers and sellers do.
- Lunatix is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ticketmaster or any artist, venue, or promoter. Tickets move between users through Ticketmaster's own transfer feature, under Ticketmaster's terms.
- Every listing is general admission. There are no seat assignments to compare.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older. One account per person, and you're responsible for what happens on it.
- Sign-in is handled by Clerk. Keep your sign-in method secure; we can't recover an account that someone else has taken over through your email.
- We may decline, pause, or close an account for breaking these terms, fraud, or risk reasons. Open orders are completed or refunded as described below, and payouts you're lawfully owed aren't withheld unless they're tied to fraud or a chargeback.
Prices and fees
- The price you see before you commit is the total you pay. No service fees. The only extra is card processing, 2.9% + $0.30, shown in every price.
- If our fees change, the change applies only to orders placed afterwards and is always shown before you pay or list.
- Prices must be between $5 and $2,500 per ticket. Orders above $500 per ticket may be held for review.
How buying works
- Buy now takes a listed price. Name your price places a bid: a real order that charges your saved card automatically the moment a seller's price meets it. You pay the seller's price, never more than your bid.
- Orders fill at exact quantities unless you choose to accept fewer, with a minimum you set. If you do, the order may fill in pieces from more than one seller, and each piece is its own transfer and its own charge.
- Bids and listings can be canceled free any time before they fill. A filled order is a completed purchase.
- Your payment is held by Lunatix from the moment the order fills until after the event. The seller is not paid at that point.
- You must give us a ticket-transfer email: the address on your Ticketmaster account. The seller sends the tickets there, and you accept them on Ticketmaster with that same email.
- After the seller marks the transfer sent, confirm receipt on your order page. If you do nothing, the order confirms on its own 72 hours later; we remind you by email at 24 and 48 hours. You can still report a problem after that, right up until the seller's payout goes out.
How selling works
- List only tickets you own or control right now, in your own Ticketmaster account, with transfer enabled. No listing tickets you plan to acquire later, tickets bought with bots or other tools that dodge purchase limits, or tickets that were originally free. The last two are also illegal in California.
- Your group sells whole unless you choose to allow splits, with a smallest sale you set.
- When your tickets sell you have 24 hours, or until the event starts if that comes first, to send them through Ticketmaster transfer to the buyer's transfer email, then mark the transfer sent on your order page. We warn you by email before the deadline.
- The buyer's transfer email is shared with you for that one purpose. Using it for anything else breaks these terms.
- Miss the deadline and the order cancels, the buyer is refunded, and you aren't paid. Repeated misses lead to listing limits or account closure.
- Payouts go through Stripe, after a one-time setup. Your payout releases the day after the event, or 2 days after confirmation if that's later. A reported problem or a chargeback on an order holds its payout until resolved.
- You're responsible for taxes on what you sell. Stripe may ask for tax details and issue tax forms where required.
Refunds and the guarantee
- Buy on Lunatix and one of two things happens: you get the tickets you paid for in your Ticketmaster account, or you get all of your money back to your original payment method. Not a credit.
- Automatic, no action needed: the seller misses the transfer deadline; the listing you were paying for sold to someone else moments before your payment completed; the event is canceled and not rescheduled.
- After review: wrong, invalid, or unacceptable transfers reported from your order page. Reporting freezes the money; if the problem stands, you're refunded in full.
- Not covered: changing your mind, not being able to attend, or not accepting a transfer sent to your confirmed transfer email. Postponed or rescheduled events don't trigger a refund; your tickets stay valid for the new date.
- Refunds are for the full amount paid, including any fees, and usually post within 5 to 10 business days.
Things you can't do
- Misdescribe a listing, sell what you don't hold, trade between your own accounts, recall a transfer after it's accepted, or dispute a card charge for an order you received.
- Use someone else's account or card, scrape or overload the site, or get around rate limits.
- Doing any of these cancels the affected orders, forfeits the related payouts, and closes the account.
Privacy
- Our privacy policy says what we collect and who sees it. Buyers and sellers see each other as a first name and last initial, except that the matched seller sees your transfer email to deliver the tickets.
What we don't promise
- We don't control the event, the venue, the lineup, or Ticketmaster. Our responsibility to you for an order is the refund described above. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as travel or lodging.
- The marketplace is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, and we may correct obvious catalog errors such as dates and venue names.
Disagreements and changes
- If something goes wrong, email support first; almost everything is fixed there. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute we can't resolve goes to the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
- We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email or on the site with an effective date, and using Lunatix after that date means you accept them. The date at the top always shows the current version.
